Lancaster Central Market

The Lancaster Central Market roof project included removal of existing shingles and heat trace system, followed by addition of 3" insulation and new wood decking on the entire roof. New roof installation (with 22 dormers) also included Ice & Water Shield, North Country Unfaded Black slate, snow guards, lead-coated copper flashings, and 1/2 round galvanized gutter. Personalized (signed) donor slates were installed at the request of the owner.
Working closely with the health inspector, we ensured that the food stands were kept clean by installing overhead protection (TuffWrap). Ongoing communication with City of Lancaster and the Lancaster Central Market Board ensured that the project was completed efficiently, with as little disruption to the public as possible.
With the building occupied on Market days, safety of all visitors and occupants was of paramount importance, along with the ongoing safety of our team. The project was completed with a 100% safety record on and off the roof.

After removal of the original asbestos slate, the existing deck was covered with 3/4-inch plywood, Ice and Water Shield, and new North Country Slate was installed. In addition to rebuilding the existing copper gutters, our team of copper specialists soldered the copper flashings and downspouts, then reproduced and installed the ornate copper flashings. Copper snow guards were installed, along with a heat trace system. The clay tile caps on all the peaks were removed, restored and reinstalled. An additional small flat roof was replaced with TPO membrane.
The project was completed with a 100% safety record on and off the roof.

Elder Hall
Elizabethtown Training Academy, PA Department of General Services The Elder Hall project included a terra cotta tile replacement along with the installation of two layers of roof underlayments; ice and water shield at eaves, hips, valleys, roof penetrations and sidewalls; copper flashings and flat seam flashing; downspout replacements and repairs; copper gutter system repair and cleaning; removal and replacement of damaged metal edge gypsum plank and roof tiles; and select brick masonry facade repointing. Additional copper roofing and rubber roofing completed the project. With the building occupied, the project was completed with a 100% safety record on and off the roof. The Pennsylvania State University The Henderson HHD building required a slate system roof replacement with copper-lined gutters- one of our company's roof specialties. This job included removing the original asbestos slate, repairing the substrate and installing a new slate shingle roof system including snow guards, slate and copper fascia and drip edge. Complying with all OSHA requirements, our team of roofers maintained safety throughout the duration of the job, as is our practice. This was especially important as our work required ongoing coordination with the Owner since the building was occupied. The Pennsylvania State University This Silver LEED project required wood sub-framing and insulation over a steel deck. Our team of safety conscious roofers installed slate with copper flashing and concealed ridge vents. Coordination with other construction companies was imperative as this was new construction. Hollidaysburg Area School District Our team of trained and professional roofers installed new 4-inch vented nail board attached to the existing precast lightweight concrete deck, followed by an application of Deck Armor breathable underlayment with Timberline Ultra Lifetime shingles. This project was designed by Engineering Architecture and Design Services (EADS Group). Project Size: 36,000 Square Feet Ebensburg Center, a licensed intermediate care facility, requested new roofs on 4 housing buildings as part of the Department of General Services. Our company’s practice in maintaining all OSHA requirements ensured the residents’ safety throughout the duration of the project.
